I like simplicity, don't you?
Perhaps it's because I'm
a little simpleminded, but complexity oftentimes equals confusion. And, confusion usually
triggers my 'it's-probably-bull-stuff-alert' defense system.
Additionally, confusion makes me suspect there's a hidden agenda
that's not in my best interest. Or that I'm talking to a charlatan.

|
|
For example: Starting a Part-Time Online Home-Based Business...
Can you think of any one subject with more confusion and
half-truths surrounding it than Starting Your Internet Business?
Go ahead, think about it...
OK. Your time's up...
I don't know if you thought of another subject with more confusion
than 'starting your Internet business' but I'll take your silence
as a "No". And I agree with you that the online
business 'how-to' genre brim-full of widely conflicting
information.
While you were going to the bathroom and getting yourself another
Twinkie, I stayed on the job, and I came up with another subject
with even more pointless confusion and planned misinformation
oozing about it, than starting an Internet venture:
"How To Make Money Without Working For A Boss"
Yup, selling how to information on that one subject has made many
a person filthy rich and has left many a dreamer with empty
pockets. But, that's another story...
Let's get back on the clock with today's story: starting an
Internet gig. . . You can start your
online business in only 5 simple steps...
In order of importance:
-
Find a identifiable group of
people who are already buying related products and services
which have wide enough profit margins to make it worthwhile for
you to market to the market.
-
Do searches in your favorite
search engines and find out where these people hang out and how
you can systematically, and repeatedly reach them with your
marketing messages... and make a profit after your costs.
-
Make a list of the
products and services your market is now buying, how they're
buying them, the price points, and make a list of whom they're
now buying from.
-
Research your chosen target
market's present suppliers. Look for ways to take advantage of
any weak links in your possible competitors selling processes,
in their marketing messages, with their delivery systems, their
follow-up methods, their products usability and dependability,
etc. Then test and track tactics to exploit any 'holes' you
find...
-
Using your findings from
steps 3 & 4, get your marketing message in front of your target
market. Your primary message is: how and why your market will
benefit immediately because you're filling the 'holes' your
competitors are leaving open.
Did you notice a commonality
with each of the 5 steps?
Each step leads to the completion of the only purpose there is for
you having a business on the first place: Getting A Customer. At
the end of the day, starting a business, online or offline, comes
down to one simple step:
"Get A Customer!"
Hm, Get A Customer...Short, Sweet & Simple: works for me...
