Article components:
How to put the
article components together:
► Title:
Your title is your
headline. You want the title to capture the attention of people who
are interested in your article's content. In other words, your title
is ideally a pre-qualifier.
► Opening/article
description:
Quickly, and clearly,
tell your reader what your article is about. For example, the article
you're now reading is about my simple article writing formula that
will help you write more articles, faster.
► Declarative
statements:
Briefly tell your reader
'what' you're going to tell them. i.e...My article writing formula
starts with a basic outline listing the different components that make
up a typical article.
► Support for your
declarative statements:
Give your reader 3 - 4
reasons/proof for each of your declarative statements. I like to use 1
- 2 paragraphs for each separate point I make. In this article, I've
really taken the easy way out by using bullet points.
► Summary/closing
remarks:
Tell your reader 'what'
you've told them. Restate the points you made in your opening and/or
in your declarative statements. Keep reading to see how I do it for
this article...
► Author's resource
box:
Your resource box has
only one function: capturing reader's contact info. Give your reader a
reason for signing up to your ezine, or entice them to sign up for a
special report, etc. Don't yell, don't brag and keep it short, sweet
and simple. Model mine below...
In summary, a good
article will tell readers:
-
"what" you're going to
tell them,
-
you tell them "what",
-
And finally, you tell them
"what" you told them...
At the end of the day,
you can write more articles, faster and easier, when you use my simple
article writing formula that breaks down articles into separate
components. Then you merely fill in your content for each article section,
and "ah-la-bingo" you've got yourself an article!
